This Modern Love Part Deux

Hipsters 'round the world can relax because their favorite band, Bloc Party, is busy putting the last bit of polish on their new album! The anxiously anticipated A Weekend in the City is slated for a February 6, 2007 release date on Vice Records. The album was recorded this past year at Grous Lodge in Dublin with producer Jacknife Lee (U2, Christina Aguilera, Pink).

A Weekend in the City paints a stylish, punky soundscape of every day life--the emotion behind the happiness and monotony of each move we make while in search of understanding why humans do the things they do. Many colors of love, tension, anxiety, and melancholy are quite fluid and apparent throughout, and the album's artwork courtesy of German photographer Rut Blees Luxemburg captures this. Luxemburg's "Towering Inferno" photograph was also used as the cover art for The Streets album, Original Pirate Material.

A Weekend in the City tracklisting:
Song For Clay (Disappear Here)
Hunting For Witches
Waiting For the 7:18
The Prayer
Where Is Home?
I Still Remember
